What's In My Makeup Bag? City Escape

This weekend the ladies of my family are taking a small trip to Sydney (eeep!). The land of the landmarks, cute markets and ...wait for it... Sephora! Oh yes, I'm very excited indeed. Let's all have a bit of a nose around my beauty bag, which I managed to keep rather compact, shall we?

As far as skincare goes, I've delved into my drawer of samples. My full three step cleansing system comes in the form of the Philosophy Purity Cleanser, Chanel Le Weekend De Chanel Serum and the John Plunkett Collagen Lift Moisturiser (not that I'm in particular need of a collagen lift but the other moisturiser sample I have has an obscene scent). I forgot to put it in the picture but I've decanted some body wash to take along as well. I've added in a deorerant sample in the form of Nivea Stress Protect, Body Shop Frosted Cranberry Hand Cream and some hair samples. I decided to just go with the foil packets of L'Oréal Ever Pure because I don't actually plan on washing my hair. It's just that you just know that when you don't bring shampoo and conditioner, a bird will poo on your head and the hotel maid will have stolen your free samples. I'm a worst case scenario kinda gal.

Rushing through the makeup because it's nothing you haven't heard about before. Foundation is the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Nude, concealer Maybelline Fit Me and bronzer Body Shop Honey Bronze. Of course I had to bring my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Dim Infusion as it truly is my favourite. Then I will be able to highlight with the Benefit Girl Meets Pearl. Onto the eyes, I'm bringing the MAC Dutchess Quad because it has colours that will easily cover me for two days, plus I really don't use it enough. I've got the L'Oréal Super Liner and then three mascaras, I know it's excessive but I like to layer. There are the Covergirl Clump Crusher, Designer Brands Outrageous Volume and the Benefit They're Real. Finally the brow products are Estée Lauder Automatic Pencil for Brows and the gel from the Pixi Brow Duo

I will also be bringing an array of brushes, almost all of which will be from the Zoeva Rose Gold Brush Set and an array of lip products, probably just the ones from my handbag. I'll admit to you that I haven't even thought about lip products yet, the choices are just overwhelming. I hope you all have a great weekend, whatever you have planned, I know I will!

Tomorrow there is going to be something a little different up on the blog (remember when I talked about expanding into pop culture?!), so get excited for that!

Lots of Love,
